Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Grand Cypress Golf Club is annually rated as one of the best Orlando golf courses. Now featuring 36 holes of golf, the ‘Links Course’ and ‘Florida course’ offers two distinctively different golf experiences. The traditional layout of the Florida course at Grand Cypress Golf Club offers a variety of mental and physical stimuli that test accuracy rather than strength and distance.
Completely redesigned and renovated, the Florida course offers a more traditional parkland-style course, marked by meticulously manicured fairways and expansive greens bordered by water and sand The Florida Course is expected to open for public play in 2022. The ‘Links course’ is Nicklaus' homage to the Old Course in St. Andrews with wide-open fairways, double greens, and strategically placed pot bunkers. The Links course is currently open for public play.
Grand Cypress Golf Club is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 Best Orlando golf courses.
Set in the midst of an open meadow, the Links Course at Grand Cypress is Jack Nicklaus' tribute and homage to the famed Old Course at St. Andrews, Scotland. The Links Course at Grand Cypress adds another dimension of play to the Orlando golf scene with steeper and more challenging bunkers and slopes. This Scottish links masterpiece is complete with double greens, stone bridges and walls, gorse mounds, burns, and pot bunkers as deep as 12 feet... all in the spirit of the true Scottish original.
A "links-style" design to its greatest degree, reminders of St. Andrews appear throughout the course with 150-plus bunkers, elevated tees and greens, stone walls, a winding burn (including a stone bridge crossing), and seven huge, double greens. Plus, replicas of the world-famous first and 18th holes at St. Andrews Old Course and Nicklaus' version of the Road Hole. It's quite a tribute to the Old Course with tournament quality conditions daily.
Very little water comes into play on the Links Course, but when it does it just may surprise you. Very few trees are located within the interior of the course, creating plenty of room to drive the ball. However, even the best of drives will be challenged, as even the slightest slice or fade can cause the best of golfers to find themselves looking in the wrong fairway for their ball. Impeccable playing conditions year-round for every caliber of golfer.
Easily accessible off I-4 in Orlando, Grand Cypress has been a golfing favorite since arriving on the Orlando golf scene.
